The Air Coditioner in Your Mercedes
There are some features of your Mercedes vehicle that are pure luxury and style, and there are some that are pure necessity. The air conditioner in your Mercedes-Benz is pure necessity, especially if you live in a climate that gets hot during these dog days of August. While your Mercedes air conditioner won’t likely experience problems, there are some ways to recognize if there is a problem.
The first and the most obvious sign that there’s a problem with the air conditioner in your Mercedes is that the system isn’t cooling properly. If it’s not putting out cold air, you know something is wrong. It should put out air that’s around 50 degrees cooler than the ambient temperature.
It could be that your air conditioner is low on refrigerant. You may be able to check the refrigerant on your own using an A/C gauge. If you’re low on refrigerant, you need to get your vehicle serviced.
