Getting Your Mercedes Aligned
An alignment is one of the most common types of service you may need on your Mercedes-Benz vehicle. The fact of the matter is that just about any vehicle will, at some point, need to have to be aligned. It’s important to understand, however, what exactly an alignment is.
An alignment is the process that your mechanic uses to get our wheels back into the position they are supposed to be in. Your wheels need to be parallel to one another, and your tires need to hit the road in a specific way. Over time, your wheels will get out of place. Everything from potholes to rough roads to general wear and tear contribute to this misalignment of your wheels.
When your vehicle begins to pull one direction when you’re driving across a straight road, it can indicate a problem with your alignment. This can be caused by other things, as well, such as improper inflation of your tires.
Another way to tell you need an alignment is if your tires have uneven wear, or if your tread is stripped or frayed.
If you show any signs of needing an alignment, make sure you call and schedule your service right away.
