Mercedes Fans – Check Out Mixed Tape Music Magazine
Loyal Mercedes enthusiasts may already be aware of Mixed Tape. The wildly popular legal music download site got its start in 2004, and today boasts over 2.5 million regular users. Now the site is poised to expand with a half-hour monthly music show that will air on Mercedes-Benz TV. The show is called Mixed Tape Music Magazine, and is part of a larger effort on the part of Mercedes to appeal to younger drivers via interactive entertainment.
The first installment focuses on modern vintage music, a pop sensation in which modern artists bring together influences from multiple decades in combination with the latest styles. Such well-known acts as Jennifer Lopez are currently experimenting with the format, which is so far extremely successful.
Shows follow the popular new format of interactivity, splicing together blogs, interviews, reviews and more into a fast-paced yet easy to follow package. Each show will remain available for download for six months after its premier.
Meanwhile, Mixed Tape will continue to offer the legal music downloading for which it has become famous. Mercedes is also dedicated to maintaining Mixed Tape as a place to promote new up and coming artists, introducing them to a larger fan base.
While it may seem a radical departure for a well-established luxury automaker, Mixed Tape has worked out well for Mercedes. Relying on traditional venues to retain their dedicated older followers, Mercedes has managed to successfully penetrate the finicky youth market. This in turn will help to ensure that Mercedes-Benz remains a market leader for years to come.
If all that music gets your blood pumping, why not stop by our local dealership to test drive a Mercedes-Benz vehicle for yourself? You may just find the car of your dreams.
