More People Taking Care of Their Used Mercedes-Benz
When economic times are tough, fewer and fewer people invest in new luxury vehicles. Many of them already own a used Mercedes-Benz and they take the necessary steps to keep these vehicles in proper working order. As a result, local mechanics and repair shops are seeing a surge in business from people trying to maintain their used Mercedes-Benz.
“When the economy is bad and unknown out there, people back away from making big investments and make small repairs that they might have ignored otherwise, because they realize they have to keep their cars,” said Bill Wise, a service and parts director in Arkansas. “It makes you make smart choices, do things you should do all the time.” In the last few months, Wise has seen an increase of people coming to his station for preventative maintenance and repairs. He thinks the five to ten percent increase he has noticed already is going to be much higher in the months to come.
