A Look at the 2008 Mercedes-Benz C63
It’s difficult to impress valet attendants, especially when they’re employed at a posh hotel, fine restaurant or upscale resort. But the 2008 Mercedes-Benz C63 may just do the job, starting the moment you glide into the valet area.
When the valets take a look at the C63′s aggressive front end, the specialized titanium inserts that give the headlamps a mean, determined look and that twin-bladed grille in front of those flared wheel arches, they may just fight over your keys.
And if the valet were so lucky as to take it out for a spin with your permission? Once he gets the feel of that highly accurate steering that results in greater agility, added response and feedback beyond any of this vehicle’s predecessors, he may not be back for quite a while.
The 2008 Mercedes-Benz C63 is part of the third-generation C-Class intended to give the BMW M3 a run for its money.
The exceptionally stiff wheel bearings are a great asset when cornering at high speed. Precision is the key word when it comes to this model and, although that’s not an alien concept for anything Mercedes has ever produced, it’s a notion brought home in this automobile that defines description.
Effortless acceleration is the result of a formidable 6.2 liter AMG V8 that blows out 457 angry horses; enough to tempt you to bypass the resort, restaurant or hotel altogether and just keep on driving, because driving just became so much more fun.
The valet attendant may be reluctant to hand you the keys, but at least he’ll have a nice view as you depart – that quartet of chrome tailpipes under a subtle trunk-mounted spoiler, widened rocker sills and those wicked dark taillight lenses will make him very sorry indeed to see you go.
Here’s hoping you tipped him well – after all, you may have made a grown man cry.
