Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Brings Out the Stars
This year’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week is going on right now. It takes place from September 5-12 and has proven to be the A-List celebrity magnet that it has been in the past. The 2008 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, however, is a little different than last year’s.
There was a great deal of confusion surrounding the 2007 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. If you remember a little show called “Sex and the City” and the subsequent movie of the same name, you might recall that the automaker had to create a faux event for the movie’s filming. The fake event was organized so well, though, that many A-List celebrities thought they were left out.
This year, those same celebrities lined the front row along the catwalk to see the latest designs and fashions from designers like Vera Wang, Ralph Lauren, Betsey Johnson and Max Azria. They’ve also been admiring the new Mercedes-Benz cars, which is good since the automaker spent millions of dollars on its newest campaign and hired Ralph Rucci as this year’s designer.
