At first thought, you may think purchasing a Mercedes-Benz owned by Adolf Hitler is evil. But to Dmitry Lomakov, these cars are a rare yet prudent symbol of Russia’s dominance during the World War II era.

“They are symbols of Russia’s victory,” explains Lomakov. “For Russians,” he says, “the second world war isn’t a historical event. For us it happened yesterday.” Lomakov directs the Moscow museum which houses and displays three rare vehicles that were once owned by Hitler’s Nazi regime. The facility has the Mercedes-Benz 540K which was once owned by Joseph Goebbels, the Horch-853 limousine that Hermann Goering owned and Martin Boorman’s MB 320.

But an avid collector recently purchased the most notable Mercedes-Benz used during Hitler’s tirade – the MB 770K, which was once owned by the tyrannical dictator himself. It was part of the dictator’s official fleet of vehicles and he has even been photographed standing in the luxury vehicle while crowds saluted him.

The price that the anonymous Russian collector paid for the memorabilia was not released, but Lomakov knows who bought it and he probably knows the price the man paid for it. “He may have bought Hitler’s car out of patriotism. Or as an investment,” he explained.

Their biggest hit – “Wannabe” – still gets stuck in the head of many people who listened to the radio during that time. • Pre-Safe – If your body movements and the movements of the vehicle indicate that a collision is imminent, the Pre-Safe system kicks in to tighten seatbelts to help ensure the safety of all the passengers. If the system detects a possible rollover, it automatically closes the sunroof and rolls up the windows before it happens.

Earlier this month, the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week took place on some of the most recognized runways in there world. Following are some facts about those runways and some of the designs that were presented during this iconic and popular event.

Michael Angel
This graphic spring runway was offered by Aussie designer Michael Angel and drew inspiration from women like Josephine Baker and Nancy Cunard. The collection turned out to be “quirky and pretty” and upbeat. Skirts were varied – some were “flasher short” while others were just imply “unpredictable.” Prints included “floral and faceted gems” with “heavy doses of bling on sleeves” and other interesting choices made by the designer.

BCBG Runway
Max Azria’s popular runway was the place to be if you enjoy seeing bold colors that will be all the rage next spring. Pool blue was the most popular option for this runway, but teal, fuchsia and neutrals were also quite popular. There were also a number of t-shirt style dresses as well as body-conscious designs that varied from the super mini to “billowy maxi jobs” and others.

Ports 1961
This runway featured a number of Asian-looking designs from designer Tia Cibani. Red eye shadow combined with pale lavender designs made a huge splash as did body-skimming sheaths, blossom prints and other unique dresses.
