October is Perfect for Scenic Drives in Your Mercedes-Benz
The summer driving season is over, but that does not mean that you have to stay home all weekend and hang out at the house. This is the perfect time to take a short road trip to see some of the beautiful color changes on the trees. Here are a few breathtaking scenic routes that you can take this weekend for fun and quality time.
• Massachusetts – Route 6A around Cape Cod
With thousands of trees along the ocean line and the beautiful homes along the way, Route 6A through Cape Cod is definitely a must-see this season. Stop over at one of the nice bed and breakfast facilities and make an entire weekend out of it. You won’t be disappointed.
• Lake Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire
Take a drive in your Mercedes-Benz vehicles around this lake at this time of year and you will want to take hundreds of pictures. In addition to the colorful trees, there are some charming villages and communities that are inviting and reminiscent to a much simpler time. Take Route 3 to Route 25 and Routes 117 and 109 to see some of the most interesting parts of the drive.
• Ocean Drive, Rhode Island
See some of the most prestigious mansions in the region along Bellevue Avenue in Newport, Rhode Island. Ocean Drive also has impressive views of the majestic Atlantic Ocean and you can have a good old-fashioned picnic at Fort Adams State Park.
The end of summer does not have to mean the end of enjoying road trips. Get in your Mercedes and take a drive somewhere you’ve never been before!

Three Ways to Save Gas in Your Mercedes- Benz
Everybody is looking for ways to save money these days. Saving money on fuel is one of the main ways you can add money to your budget each week. Follow these tips for reducing the amount of fuel you use each day in your Mercedes-Benz vehicles so you can use that money for something more important.
1. Don’t top your tank off. You might think you’re getting more fuel in your tank when you top it off, but much of that gas seeps out or sloshes out. That’s gas that you have paid for that your car will never use.
2. Make sure your gas cap is tight. A loose gas cap allows fuel to evaporate into the air and reduces your overall efficiency. Tighten your gas cap until you hear it click to ensure it is on tight enough.
3. Pump up the tires. Low tires can reduce you car’s fuel efficiency by as much as five percent. Check you tires about once a month to ensure they have the proper air pressure in them for maximum fuel efficiency.
Follow these tips with your Mercedes-Benz and your luxury vehicle will be as efficient as can be!
Taking a Look at the 2010 Mercedes E-Class

Mercedes-Benz has always had a reputation for producing comfortable and stylish cars since it began more than 100 years ago. The 2010 E-Class is no different. In fact, some say this E-Class is better than any other model in the automaker’s lineup because of its superior construction and safety.
The all-new E-Class is a classic and conservative sedan. These are the types of cars one thinks about when they hear the Mercedes-Benz name. Over the years, the automaker has branched out into other types of cars, and while this is good, many consumers do miss the classic sedans that are synonymous with the Mercedes-Benz name.
The 2010 E-Class is getting back to that with a squared-off appearance, an upright roof and creased fenders. This E-Class also features a familiar chrome grill and dual headlights that many car buyers may remember from years past.
In addition to the exterior familiarity, the interior has a familiar appearance, too. The dash is squared off, reminiscent of older models. But it differs from those older Benz vehicles because it has some modern and sophisticated technology within the dash.

For fans of the older Mercedes-Benz vehicles, the 2010 E-Class is perfect. It combines the durability and style of years past with the best modern features of today. Which is why we have selected this vehicle to be our featured vehicle of the month for October.

Diagnosing a Cooling System Problem in Your Mercedes
The cooling system is one of the most important parts of your Mercedes vehicle. Without it, your engine would overheat in a matter of minutes. This can cause a great deal of damage and even blow your entire engine if you are not careful. But how do you diagnose a cooling system problem before it becomes a major repair? Here are some tips you should know so your Mercedes does not overheat.
• Know the common problems that occur with cooling systems. If your Mercedes is overheating or “running hot,” it probably has something to do with your coolant level, the thermostat, the radiator, water pump or the hoses.
• If you notice your engine’s temperature gauge going about the halfway point, pull over immediately and turn the engine off. Let it cool for a few minutes before lifting the hood as built-up steam could cause burns or injury.
• Look for leaks in the hoses, around the areas where the hoses connect to the various cooling components or on the bottom side of the hood as a hose leak could cause coolant to spray all over the place.
• Check the coolant level once the radiator has cooled down. Never take off the radiator cap while it is still hot as hot coolant could spew everywhere and cause severe burns.
• If the coolant level is fine and the hoses seem fine, have your car towed to the nearest service station to check the radiator, thermostat and water pump. Do not attempt to drive it any further as you could damage the engine.
Use these tips to diagnose a cooling system problem in your Mercedes. If you’re unsure, swing into your Princeton, NJ area Mercedes-Benz dealer for a complete diagnosis. The more you know how to do, the more money you can save on repairs.
