Mercedes Tops in Customer Satisfaction
According to a recent study by J.D. Power and Associates, Mercedes-Benz is the brand that has the most satisfied customers of all the car makers in the premium vehicle segment. The survey evaluated the overall satisfaction with vehicle ownership. The study included specific metrics such as service satisfaction, ownership cost, and vehicle appeal and quality.

The study, done in Germany, took into account more than 16 thousand drivers. They were asked questions about topics from the friendliness of service personnel to the thoroughness of the service work performed to how generally satisfied drivers were with their vehicles.

These results aren’t surprising to anyone who’s ever owned a Mercedes. Customers know that Mercedes has done plenty of assessment on its own, making sure that their customers are satisfied. The results of this survey only serves to cement what many Mercedes drivers already know, which is that Mercedes is truly at the top of the heap.

Mercedes to Debut Electric SLS AMG
One of the most exciting vehicles on the horizon today is the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. This supercar is still in the testing phase, but it is shaping up to be one of the most intriguing and amazing vehicles on the market. The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG will have a 6.3 liter V8 engine that produces 570 horsepower.

What may be surprising to you, however, is that Mercedes will be putting out an electric version of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. This electric car will be unveiled this fall at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

It is expected that the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG will be powered by four electric motors, each of which will be placed near the wheels but not in the wheel hubs. This is expected to help address the problem of in-hub electric motors, which tends to affect handling and driving by increasing the unsprung weight.
If you can’t wait for the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, come see your Mercedes dealer today. Mercedes has plenty of vehicles to get you where you want to go in style while you look forward to the electric SLS AMG.
The Mercedes E550 and E350 Coupe
Mercedes is known for many things. There is quality, of course. Mercedes-Benz vehicles are some of the most well built vehicles on the road. There is also luxury, and Mercedes-Benz has become synonymous with luxury in many circles. Mercedes is also known, however, for timeless design.

The new E350 and E550 coupes from Mercedes-Benz carry the timeless design of the Mercedes CLK couples into the next generation. The E-series features sculpted design, graceful arcs, and a fluidity of motion.
It’s not just the look of the Mercedes-Benz E350 and E550 coupe that are so timeless, however. The performance of these vehicles is amazing. The acceleration is wonderful, with the 5.5 liter V8 version of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class going from zero to 60 in just five seconds.
The E-class is great for long distance touring, as well. There is plenty of comfort in these vehicles, and like all Mercedes road noise is kept to a minimum even at higher speeds.
As always, you can have just about any amenity you want from your E-class, from Bluetooth to navigation systems to cameras and radars.

The Suspension on your Mercedes-Benz
The suspension on your Mercedes-Benz vehicle is important. It keeps your ride running smooth, and helps you to be able to control the vehicle. The suspension in your Mercedes is specifically engineered to give you comfort, all while keeping rough roads from damaging your vehicle.
The most important part of the suspension system in your Mercedes vehicle is the shocks or struts. After time, these will often become worn. This most often occurs when your driving involves roads that are bumpy, or if you drive in such a way as to corner tightly or hard. If there is a problem, a shock may leak. You’ll find the leak on the shock, just behind the wheel.
Another part of the suspension that can wear out is the ball joint. Ball joints can cause the car to not steer properly, causing you to lose control.
If your Mercedes-Benz vehicle just doesn’t seem to be handling the way it should, have the suspension checked.

Crosswind Stabilization Syestem on the Mercedes-Benz S-Class
The Mercedes S-Class offers you plenty in terms of style, status and solid construction. In addition, it even offers you a few things you might not be aware of, including an interesting safety feature.

If you’re like most drivers, you’ve had a moment when you’ve been driving along and the car is caught in a crosswind. It pushes the car slightly off course, which you correct immediately. However, the latest version of the S-class will have a crosswind stabilization system as an option.

This system comes standard on the V12 S600, and is optional on the other versions of the Mercedes S-Class. The system will detect a blast of wind in just 50 milliseconds, and take corrective action in 50 more milliseconds.
The crosswind stabilization system relies on the stability control sensors to detect the gust of wind. It will only operate above 50 miles per hour, and the system is designed to ignore driver-caused course changes.
The Mercedes-Benz eDrive SLS
The Mercedes AMG line has always been about power, torque and acceleration. The engines used in AMG vehicles are hand built, and designed to be both fast and exclusive. Fuel economy has never been at the top of the list when it comes to the Mercedes-Benz AMG division.

Things are changing, however. The engineers at AMG are in the process of developing a new version of the SLS supercar. This vehicle will actually be a plug-in electric version. It will be known as the “eDrive” SLS. In terms of design, it is expected to be very similar to the gasoline version of the Mercedes SLS, which will be released at the motor show in Frankfurt in September. It is expected that the vehicle will rely on a lightweight aluminum structure as well as the interior of the gas version.
The electric version will use a modified rear-wheel drive SLS platform, using a98-kilowatt electric motor with each wheel. A lithium-ion battery will store the vehicle’s electricity. It is expected that the eDrive SLS will produce 526 horsepower and be able to hit 60 miles per hour in just four seconds.
While the eDrive SLS is a ways off, there are plenty of wonderful Mercedes-Benz vehicles at your Princeton area Mercedes-Benz dealer today.
Protecting Your Mercedes-Benz Exterior
Mercedes vehicles are some of the best made vehicles in the world. Unfortunately, everything from the sun’s UV rays to birds can do things to the exterior of your Mercedes that make it look bad and reduce its value. Here are some things to keep in mind when it comes to protecting the exterior of your Mercedes-Benz:
- First, keep your Mercedes clean and waxed. Make sure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions so you don’t inadvertently damage your vehicle while you’re cleaning or waxing it.
- Keep a spray water bottle in your trunk, along with a microfiber towel. If you find a bird dropping or other dirt on your Mercedes, us the bottle to spray the blemish. Let it soak for a bit, then rub it off with your fingers. Once the blemish is removed, only then should you wipe it with the microfiber towel.
- If you do damage your exterior, get your Mercedes serviced right away. The longer a bad spot goes and is exposed to the elements, the worse off your vehicle will be.

Stay Awake Driving with Mercedes-Benz
Mercedes-Benz vehicles aren’t at the top of the automotive heap just because they look good and because they’re well built. Mercedes vehicles also have been on the cutting edge of many advances in the industry, and a new safety feature that comes standard in the 2010 Mercedes E-Class vehicles demonstrates that fact.

This system is designed to detect drowsiness in the driver. It uses sensors to monitor behaviors like minor steering corrections and others. It then gives both an audible and a visible warning. The instrument cluster gives a “time for rest” message, along with a picture of an espresso cup.

It is estimated that as many as 100,000 car crashes every year are due to drowsy driving, and that they result in 1,550 deaths and over 70,000 injuries. Mercedes is doing what it can to insure that its customers stick around long enough to replace their old Mercedes with a new one, when the time comes.
Waxing Your Mercedes
If you want to keep your Mercedes-Benz vehicle looking its best all the time, you need to do some things to protect your body and your paint job. One of the best things that you can do is to keep a coat of wax on your Mercedes. That coat of wax protects your Mercedes. In particular, those shiny, clear-coated, polished or chrome parts of your car need to be protected from scratches and dirt. In addition, a good coat of wax gives you a depth of shine on your Mercedes vehicle.

You can get car wax in either a liquid or a paste. The difference is really in the particular solvents that are in the package. Paste requires more friction to put on your Mercedes, which helps the wax to melt and to evaporate the solvents. With a liquid wax, the solvents tend to be ones that will evaporate on their own.
Before you start the process of waxing your Mercedes, make sure it’s clean. Get rid of dirt, grime, bugs and road tar. If you need to, consider using a degreaser or tar remover. When you actually apply the wax to your vehicle, do so in a sparing fashion. Use a terrycloth sponge, or a cotton cloth. Work the wax into the surface until it creates a haze. Then, buff out that haze to create a shine.
2009 Mercedes-Benz GL-Class Review
The 2009 Mercedes-Benz GL-Class is, for all intents and purposes, one of the most well crafted and stylish full size luxury SUV on the market. While much of the competition takes a more ostentatious approach, the 2009 Mercedes-Benz GL-Class has an understated refinement. Available in three different levels of trim, this seven-passenger vehicle is definitely one to consider.

The Gl320 Bluetec is one of the most interesting options available in the luxury SUV market today. This model features the 3.0 liter turbodiesel V6 engine, offering much better fuel economy than the gas powered 2009 Mercedes-Benz GL-Class options. It has surprising power for a V6, and qualifies for a $1,800 federal tax credit, as well.

The next model to consider is the GL450. The GL450 has a V8 gas-powered engine, and has the same features as the GL350 Bluetec. Both include dual zone automatic climate control, sunroof, leatherette upholstery, power 50/50 split folding rear seat, the Mercedes COMAND multimedia interface, six CD changer audio system including, SD card reader, auxiliary audio jack and Bluetooth.
At the top of the line you’ll find the GL550. This features plenty of options as standard equipment, as well as unique styling details. You’ll find a hard drive based navigation system, upgraded sound system, power iftgate, and many other features on the GL550.
