Get That Used Mercedes-Benz in 2009
If you’re like me, you have already made several resolutions for 2009. One of them might be to get that certified used Mercedes-Benz you’ve had your eye on at your local dealership. Since you get the best of both worlds with a certified used Mercedes-Benz (luxury at an affordable price), that’s a popular resolution for many people this year. Here are some other popular resolutions that people tend to make with each New Year.
Lose Weight – This is probably the most common New Year’s Resolution there is. Everybody wants to lose weight. If people kept their resolutions past the first week of each new year, though, we wouldn’t have the obesity problem we have today.
Manage Debt – This is another popular resolution. It is a good idea to manage your debt and pay off your bills, but this is another one that people forget about around the fourth day of January.
Quit Smoking – My wife resolved to do this every year. She did, however, quit for hopefully the last time this past February.
Whether it’s losing weight, getting fit or buying one of those certified Mercedes vehicles that you can use for riding around in style, New Year’s resolutions are a way that we can better ourselves. Here’s hoping that you can keep your resolutions for 2009!
Wipe the Ice and Snow Off Your Certified Used Cars
You might think leaving the ice and snow on the hoods and roofs of your certified used car is safe, but it’s not. Just because you can see through the windshield doesn’t mean you should drive down the road. And now, a Pennsylvania law is going to make sure you clean off your certified used cars completely or else face consequences.
If you leave a large amount of snow on top of your car’s roof, you could face fines up to $1,000 if that snow and ice flies off your car and hurts another person.”When the snow comes flying off your car, it becomes a projectile,” said a spokesperson for PennDOT. The minimum fine right now is $200 and only applies if any damage is caused by the flying ice and snow.
However, some state legislators want to make it mandatory to clean off your cars completely before getting on the road. It’s like a preemptive law to help prevent any damages or injuries.
The important thing is to try and stay safe this winter and help keep others safe. If this means cleaning off the snow and ice from your Mercedes vehicles or any other kind of car you have, then so be it. We’re all in this life together and we should look out for each other when we can.
Get a Benz Mercedes for the New Year (And Other Resolution Tips)
With Christmas finally behind us and the New Year fast-approaching, you might be thinking about making those resolutions. One of those resolutions probably has something to do with becoming more responsible with your finances and saving more money. Your Benz Mercedes dealers wants to offer tips on how to keep your budgeting resolution and come out better at the end of 2009 than you did at the end of 2008.
1. Create a written budget. The best way to get on a budget and stay on it is to create a written budget. Do this with your spouse and your family so everybody knows what is expected when it comes to the household finances. Post the budget around the house so everybody remembers it.
2. Write down every penny you spend. This is one of the best ways to lose weight, but it also works with finances. When you look at what you spend each week in a written format, you will see where all your money goes. You may also see places where you can make cuts.
3. Prepay your bills. Some people use their tax return to prepay their cell phone bill, electricity bill and even their cable bill for the rest of the year. Of course, this depends on how much your tax return is and the amount of your bills, but it does help you save money with all that extra money each month.
4. Invest in one of the affordable certified Mercedes vehicles at your local dealer. A certified Benz Mercedes is much less expensive than a new one and it’s an ideal way to enjoy 2009.
Drive Your Used Mercedes-Benz Carefully This Week
With winter storms and freezing rain sweeping through New Jersey lately, it’s important to take extra care when driving your used Mercedes-Benz to your Christmas get-togethers this week. The freezing rain can create patches of ice and the snow can cover those patches so you don’t even see them. Here are some tips to keeping you, your family and your used Mercedes-Benz safe on the roads so you can have a truly Merry Christmas.
• Slow it down. I know it’s Christmas and you’re excited about spending time with family and friends, but driving too fast isn’t the way to do it. Go slower and adapt to the road conditions and you’ll be more likely to stay safe.
• Don’t slam on the brakes. Braking too hard ensures that you will slide along icy roads. When you need to stop, press the brakes gently and leave enough stopping room so you never need to slam on your brakes.
• Don’t use the cruise. You need to be in control on winter roads at all times. Cruise control does not allow this.
• Wipe off your headlights and keep your windshield clear. You need to see others and they need to see you for optimum safety.
These winter driving tips apply whether you are driving used Mercedes vehicles or any other type of car. Drive safe and have a Merry Christmas!

Work Approach and Job Satisfaction
You didn’t get where you are in life by just skating by. They don’t give you a Mercedes just for showing up on time; it takes a specific attitude to reach your degree of success.
The way you approach your position, whether it’s as an executive or as an entrepreneur, has a lot to do with your satisfaction on the job. Here are three ways of looking at your job, and how they relate to your satisfaction:
Work as a job. If you think of your work as a job, you’re focused on the outcome. You like the paycheck, and your work might not even interest you. you want the lifestyle, and it’s why you’re there. Unfortunately, this attitude rarely leads to satisfaction or sucess.
Work as a career. If you think of work as a career, you want to climb the ladder. You’re motivated by status, by prestige and by power. Unfortunately, those things are ends, rather than means. It’s easy to become always reaching, never satisfied with what you have now.
Work as a calling. Here’s where you need to be for long term success and happiness. You’re focused on the work itself. The career advancement and financial gain are side effects of your intense desire to do your work and to do it better than anyone else.

GLK350 Benz Mercedes Plans to Stomp Rivals
The new GLK350 Benz Mercedes crossover is gearing up for its 2010 launch. And judging from expectations, it’s going to be an awesome launch!
The new GLK Benz Mercedes is based on the automaker’s C-Class platform. Currently, it is going to be the “smallest and least expensive SUV in the German luxury manufacturer’s lineup.” But that doesn’t mean it sacrifices quality or luxury.
The base price for these Mercedes vehicles is less than $42,000. As such, it’s going to be a direct competitor for consumers looking at other vehicles like the Toyota RAV4 and the Honda CR-V.
Reviewers have already had the opportunity to take these Mercedes vehicles for a drive even though they won’t be at dealer lots until January. Here are a couple highlights from this writer’s review:
• The 3.5 liter V6 engine and 4MATIC transmission give it great handling and performance.
• The driver has a 10-way power seat.
• Dual climate controls ensure both the passenger and driver are comfortable.
• The 19-inch alloy wheels are the “crowning touch” for this model.
Can you think of a better way to start off the new year than with a top vehicle from a luxury automaker? Save those Christmas checks from grandma this month and visit your local Benz dealer in January to get one of these crossover vehicles.
Holiday Driving in Your Used Mercedes-Benz
This season is a time to be thankful. You can be thankful for many things – your family, your friends and even your used Mercedes-Benz. But to be thankful also means to take care of those things you care about. If you want to take care of your used Mercedes-Benz, here are some safe driving tips to heed during the Christmas and winter season.
Early Sunday mornings are the most dangerous times to be on the road. Most people consider early Sunday morning to be late Saturday night, but either way, most fatal accidents occur between 12:00 AM and 3:00 AM on Sunday morning/Saturday night. The number of drunk drivers skyrockets during these hours.
Commuting times are the safest times to be on the road. People tend to be more alert and in less of a hurry during the morning commute. However, driving home during the normal commuting times is not as safe.
Young male drivers are the least safe of all groups. Males between the ages of 16 and 24 are involved in more fatal crashes than any other group of drivers. On the other hand, girls between the ages of 16 and 20 behind the wheel are involved in more crashes that cause injury.
Now that you know these facts, you can try to keep your Mercedes vehicles away from these dangers and enjoy it for many years to come. Just be safe and use some common sense and everybody can have a safe and happy holiday season.
Keep Your Teenagers Responsible in Your Certified Used Cars
There is nothing wrong with letting your teenager drive your certified used cars. However, when they insist on talking on their cell phone and sending texts when they’re supposed to be driving, that’s a recipe for disaster.
But a new automobile ignition key can keep your teenagers responsible when they’re behind the wheel of your certified used cars. Researchers at the University of Utah created the Key2SafeDriving device. The device connects to the cell phone of each person that has a key to your certified used cars. Then, in order to start the engine, the driver must take the key out of the cell phone or release it by pushing a button. This puts the cell phone in “driving mode” and prevents it from working.
According to the creator of the device, about six percent of drivers on the road at any given time are talking on their cell phone. Also, about 10 percent of teenage drivers on the road are texting or talking at any given time. This device will make that a thing of the past while offering parents peace of mind and lower car insurance rates.
Whether you let your teenager driver your new Mercedes vehicles or your certified used cars, this sounds like something that could save their lives. And since it will only cost about $50 for the device, it’s worth the cost!
