Used Car Buying Tips
Comparing used car loans is an important part of your car buying journey. Before going to the car dealership and signing up for a loan on the spot, do some comparisons before leaving your house to save money. You can get a car that you really want instead of settling for second fiddle – or lesser vehicle.
Visit the websites of some local car dealers to view their inventory. Collect price quotes for the type of models you’re looking for. If you know some people in the industry, get prices and information from them as well.
Inquire about the loan rates offered in your area, too. Interest rates are a determining factor in monthly payments and could cause a vehicle to be out of your price range.
Consider the payment terms when comparing used car loans, too. Will it be a 36-month or a 48-month payment term? A cheaper monthly payment over a longer period could mean that you’re actually paying more money over the length of the loan – sometimes thousands of dollars. Determine if it’s more important to pay less each month but more overall or if it’s better to pay more each month and rid yourself of the loan faster.
Finally, gather information about the car you want to buy. The more information you have on your needs, the options you’d like, and the features that you’re looking for, the more informed decision you can make.
You will likely have your car for several years so be sure to pick one that you’re comfortable with – and one that you can afford. A certified pre-owned Mercedes-Benz vehicle is always a sure bet if you have the budget for it. Click here to see what we have in stock today and be sure to contact one of our product specialists to learn more about the Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-Owned program.

Futuristic Offerings from Mercedes-Benz
Mercedes-Benz engineers never limited themselves to creating cars that are only imaginable and within reach. They’ve designed and manufactured some of the leading automobiles in their 120-year history. They look far beyond what other companies are doing and even beyond what they see as possible. The result of the company’s ambitions is the concept unveiled at the Los Angeles Design Challenge – Robocar 2057.
This amazing Mercedes concept vehicle is a compact car with room enough only for the driver, but it can morph into a roomy two-seater as well. With the combination of artificial intelligence and technology, this SilverFlow technology changes its shape and structure with the mere touch of a button.
The concept car is made up of billions of tiny metallic particles that form into different configurations and shapes powered by magnetism. The driver makes the vehicle fit into tight parking spots or even fixes any dents or scratches in just a couple seconds.
While this car is still a few decades away from being available at a Mercedes dealership near you, it just goes to show that the automaker looks into the future, not the past. Designers have a vision for what might one day be possible despite today’s technological limitations.

Mercedes-Benz: The Choice of Celebrities
Recently, there have been a couple news stories about the young stars and their Mercedes products. Britney Spears, for instance, just bought a new Mercedes-Benz SL65 for more than $200,000. According to the celebrity-watching website TMZ, she purchased her new white Benz last week. She was even spotted on the Los Angeles freeways in a traffic jam, being unable to enjoy the full speed capabilities underneath the hood.
Another story relates to Lindsay Lohan’s pre-owned Mercedes SL 55 AMG being up for sale on Ebay. A Texas car dealer purchased the car and listed it for sale, citing minor damage on the front and only about 6,000 miles on the odometer. At last check, the bidding was at about $111,000.
So what does this mean for the average Mercedes-Benz customer? Stories like these are testaments to the quality of Mercedes products. They are one of the more prominent status symbols in all of North America. Even a certified pre-owned Mercedes can still have a sticker price in the six figures, meaning that drivers expect to get many more years of luxury and use out of these vehicles.
While you might not be lucky enough to purchase one of the units that a celebrity once drove, your local Mercedes dealership definitely has something for you. Come in today and drive out feeling like a rock star or a Hollywood debutante this Thanksgiving weekend.

Being thankful for the LA Auto Show
If you live anywhere on the West Coast, can you think of any better way to spend your Thanksgiving holiday weekend than admiring some of the best cars in the industry? That’s what the 2007 Los Angeles Auto Show is all about.
This entire week, car enthusiasts are flocking to this popular event to see the latest exports from cars from all over the world. This year’s exhibit features a record 40 debut vehicles that will be available to the public in the next few years.
The LA Auto Show is open all week, even Thanksgiving Day. Many families choose to savor the magnificent cars and then return home for their traditional Thanksgiving dinner. This is the first year in three decades that this has happened. The event is typically held in January rather than in the fall. This move was to attract more cars and manufacturers to display their new ideas to potential customers.
Holding the LA Auto Show in November instead of January also gives automakers more time to plan for this event and the Detroit Auto Show that occurs early in the year.
Mercedes-Benz is displaying some of their best new models to whet the car-buying appetite. The C63 AMG is the sister car to the model being raced in the German Touring Car Championships. With more than 450 horsepower and a top speed of 155 mph, it’s definitely one of the more popular attractions at the show.
Make this Thanksgiving weekend a memory to remember and visit us to learn more about this and other great Mercedes-Benz vehicles.

Expect Slow Going on the Roads
As is typical of the day before a major holiday, many workers start their vacation a day or two early. Today is no different. At traffic.com, NAVTEQ reports that today’s traffic will likely be about 50 percent slower than the traffic on a normal Wednesday morning because of many more cars on the road making their way to their Thanksgiving Day destinations.
During the rush-hour periods, roads are expected to be less busy than normal, but the traffic will increase as the day goes on. Motorists can expect the heaviest traffic to occur between 5 P.M. and 6 P.M. – the time when most people leave work, excited for the long holiday weekend.
Drivers can also expect a period of congestion starting immediately after the lunch hour as many workers leave the office early to get a head start on the holiday.
The staff at traffic.com compiled the data from past years to predict the traffic situation on one of the busiest travel days of the year. Their technology for gathering data includes a digital traffic sensor network and a Chicago-based operations center.
Even though the study is conducted and reported for Chicago traffic specifically, other metropolitan cities are likely to experience the same patterns.
Be careful when driving your certified Mercedes or other car through these congested roadways. People are excited and anxious to get where they are going this weekend. As a result, they may not be paying close attention to what they are doing.
Help ensure that everybody has something to be thankful for this weekend by looking out for each other – be patient. Waiting a few extra minutes is much better than dealing with an accident that can ruin your weekend.

Mercedes-Benz’s Worldwide Appeal
Mercedes-Benz vehicles are some of the most recognizable and prominent luxury automobiles in the auto industry. Created in Germany, these elite cars are the status symbol of choice for many drivers in the Western Hemisphere.
Now the Mercedes-Benz company wants to expand its reach even more.
The design team from Mercedes-Benz is making a trip to Singapore to showcase its models and designs created over the last century. They also want to display the present and future models that the company has in store, as well as the workmanship that has placed the Benz name above the rest.
This “Design with a Heritage” event focuses on the unique look and appearance that characterizes a Mercedes, setting it apart from its competition. More than 50 design students from the Nanyang Academy Fine Arts (NAFA) participated in the branding competition in the hopes of attracting the company to come to their school.
The exciting event occurred this week and was open to the public. People from all around came to attend the seminar sponsored by Mercedes-Benz. They could see the materials and parts involved in building one of these luxury brand vehicles. They also got an idea of the entire process of creating a high-quality vehicle for elite car buyers.

1936 Mercedes Roadster Displayed at LA Auto Show
When people hear the term “used car,” they typically think of a vehicle that has been abused, a car with thousands of miles on its odometer. At the LA Auto Show, though, Mercedes-Benz reinvents the idea of a used car.
The bright orange 1936 Mercedes-Benz 290 Roadster Special is a dazzling display of engineering and ingenuity from the German automaker’s earlier days. This convertible roadster is noticeable from across the room. It attracts the eye of car enthusiasts and the casual sports car admirer alike. Both the young and old are fascinated by the sleek design and unique appearance of this automobile as it sits alongside the newest Mercedes creations debuting this year.
The 1936 roadster is on loan from the Mercedes-Benz Classic Center USA, a facility that protects older cars so they can be displayed and remembered for decades to come. This isn’t the vehicle’s first appearance at an auto show, either. It was first exhibited in 1933 at the Berlin Motor Show. Coincidentally, it was just as amazing then as it is now.
The 1936 Roadster Special has a whopping 68 horsepower and a three-speed transmission. Not only does the display show the brilliance of the Mercedes-Benz Company, but it also shows how far engineering has come in the last seven decades.
While you probably won’t find a 1936 Mercedes Roadster at your local Mercedes dealer, you can still find a quality Certified Pre-Owned Mercedes at a great price and with plenty of incentives. Visit us today and make this a holiday weekend to remember!

Diesel Engine V8 not available in all states
The Mercedes-Benz Company has done it again. They’ve created something that other car companies are going to try to duplicate in upcoming models. As a leader in pioneering technology, though, Mercedes perfected the technology of the diesel V8 engine in a premier model – the C63 AMG.
This week, the C63 AMG makes its debut appearance in North America at the Los Angeles Auto Show – one of the most prominent events for the entire auto industry. Automakers showcase the best of their best and the products they currently manufacture to impress potential customers.
Mercedes-Benz already made a splash earlier this year with their release of the C-Class line of luxury automobiles. Seven years of development and engineering was well-worth the greeting this line received from the world of auto buyers and dealers.
The C63 AMG goes a step further with powerful diesel engine capabilities and the sleek and sporty look that Mercedes owners love.
To ensure that the diesel engine was as close to perfect as possible, it was designed from the ground up. Engineers started from scratch to create the ideal engine for this model – a 6.3 liter V8 product with more than 450 horsepower.
The result was a car that reaches 60 miles per hour in less than five seconds – a feat hardly matched by other cars or companies.
You won’t find one of these new models at car dealers in Pennsylvania however, among some other states. Diesel engine Mercedes-Benz vehicles are not currently for sale in California, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania. Check with a local dealer today to see how you can get a similar model that meets your needs.

Fast and Furious: Benz’s Pinnacle Creation
The Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren is one of the most expensive luxury cars you can buy. It’s also the fastest and most powerful car that the Mercedes-Benz Company has produced in its 120 years of manufacturing elite automobiles.
But unless you’re a high-level executive or a recent lottery winner, this exclusive Mercedes-Benz model is likely out of financial reach. It’s still fun to dream, though. Sold for $450,000, this two-seater model reaches speeds of over 200 miles per hour (208 to be exact). It reaches 60 mph in less than four seconds.
That’s not the only fast feature drivers enjoy.
The state-of-the-art power top lowers down or lifted back into place in under ten seconds. The previous record-holder – the Porsche Boxster – took upwards of 12 seconds to perform the same function. Any convertible driver knows the annoyance of sitting in a parking lot waiting for the top to go down. That’s no longer the case with the SLR McLaren. Once you’ve seen this convertible top in action, all other tops appear lazy and pathetic.
If your bank account can take the hit, buying a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren is as simple as shopping online with the Saks Fifth Avenue holiday catalog. The SLR McLaren went on sale on November 14, but there are only five available.
To make sure you get the most from your nearly half-million dollar investment, buyers also receive a trip to France where they get professional driving lessons. It’s important to learn how to properly maneuver the incredible power at their fingertips.
The Benz company also donates $10,000 to the St. Jude’s Children’s Charity with each SLR McLaren purchase.
For the rest of us who can’t afford one of these babies, a certified Mercedes quenches the luxury vehicle thirst at a fraction of the price. Check one out today at your local Mercedes-Benz dealership.
